Roksana Jalali

Roksana Jalali (°1989) is an illustrator and painter. She grew up in Iran and works as an Early years educator in Brussels.

She earned a Bachelor of Education from NHL Stenden University in the Netherlands and a MA degree in Fine Art/ History of Art at Tarbiat Modarres University in Iran.

Her illustrations represent the stories that are inspired by ancient mythology like “One Thousand and One Nights, and Persian poems, “Masnavi-ye-Manavi” by Maulana Rumi. 

Her artworks also represent fictional landscapes, portraits, and animals. While drawing, she intersperses different materials such as pen, acrylic, and watercolor pencils and use accidental moments in this process to explore ideas.
