Guillaume Thunis

Guillaume Thunis is a Belgian painter and draftsman. From a very young age, he liked to express himself with ink and paper. His work explores the relationship to time and infinity, and takes on a cyclical character through the repetition of the gesture. "As an artist, I try to transform reality, to rewrite another world, with another rhythm." In his everyday life, Guillaume is in a permanent state of wakefulness and alertness, in constant search of what, in his environment, could bring an element of answer to his quest on the cycle of time. He then enters into a sort of meditation dictated by silence or repeating music. He often embarks on creations that require extreme patience, practicing meditative drawing. It is in doing so, by losing the notion of time, that he regains control of it, by drawing the passing of time.
