Ine Lammers

Ine Lammers (°1959, Heesch - NL) lives and works in Leuven.

Dualities are omnipresent in her work. Looking for harmony in simplicity, provoking tactile dialogues, creating from not knowing, or rather from intuitive knowing… The mystique of ordinary things, the fleeting nature of beauty. She likes to create a kind of tension by uniting the decay of nature with human intervention. The result is a form of sublimation, an appreciation, respect for what was and is now. Natural and manufactured elements are brought together while attention is paid to the harmony of the apparent extremes, going beyond the obvious.

Polarities, paradoxes, opposites... unravelling, rearranging, reconnecting. Delving into the emotional values of materials rather than their functional value.

Despite the apparent "brutalism" of the object, whose function is not precisely defined, it shows a poetic and sacred power that enters into a different relationship with time.
